Robby Caban starts her report at the takedown of the Rayshard Brooks’ memorial. As she got there fate would have her confront a mainstream media reporter whom she challenged. She made it clear that these news outlets are quick to report negative information yet they provide little context.

She asked the reporter why did they not report all of the good things that were attempted at the location, feeding, cooking, teaching, and more.

She subsequently gave a few protesters the opportunity to vent their grievances. They corroborated what she knew to be true in the community.

After we discussed her excellent reporting in the field, we started to discuss the canary in the mine, gentrification. She explained the ills it brought into the community.

It is clear that the new crop of people coming into the gentrified neighborhood are in the community without any attempt to become the community. Listen to the entire interview. It is both fascinating and enlightening.
