I must admit I had a lot of fun defending Democratic Socialism vs. Capitalism on The DJ Tommy Cruz Show with Tommy Cruz in Houston Texas. He is a staunch Conservative and Capitalist.
I loved the venue because it is not a political venue in the least. He has a fun happy-go-lucky audience that talks sports, opinions, entertainment, and other non-political stuff.
We both presented our point of view in a fun, respectful, and playful non-argumentative mode. We pretty much did it while maintaining the relatively high energy format of the show.
Democratic Socialism vs Capitalism
My goal was to let the distortions many foster under the edict of the Powell Manifesto not to take hold. We did not have to do any arguing because Tommy Cruz was a gracious host who in spite of his strong Conservative ideology and unlike many in his sect, enjoys listening to other points of view. In fact, so much is the case that he is a donor to the most Progressive radio station in Texas, KPFT 90.1 FM Houston.
