Many people do not understand that democracy requires a constant fight. If left alone, it reverts to oligarchy, plutocracy, fascism, or totalitarianism by those who take control when no one is looking. Apathy is dangerous. In fact, much of the damage to our body politic and economy pre-Trump and during Trump is a direct result of that apathy.
