Tapper on mob boss Trump. Supreme Court about to drop another shoe. Aquino talks election.

Jake Tapper has some inconvenient truths about the mob-like Trump. Is the Supreme Court about to take control of regulations? Aquino talks about the SD-15 debate and Mayor Whitmire. RIP Fmr. GM Obidike Kamau.

RIP Obidike Kamau, former KPFT show host and General Manager

A KPFT 90.1 FM Houston giant has left us. Obidike played just about every role at KPFT, both officially and unofficially. He was the cohost of Self-Determination. He was our General Manager. He was a promoter of this valuable space. He was a scholar and an activist.

I met Obidike at a rally at Houston City Hall one autumn. I can’t recall how I got into discussing my book “As I See It: Class Warfare the Only Resort to Right Wing Doom.” All I remember is him saying that I had to do his show. I was honored. It was my first Houston interview for that book.

In subsequent years, I spent time with Obidike marching in the MLK parade. We even did some live podcasts with a new project he had started. I loved this man. He was a walking repository of knowledge. I learned much from him in real time as we did various podcasts and events.

Rest in peace, my brother, my friend.
