A Houston, Texas, democratic political activist sent me an email. He said, “Party matters.” He and a colleague had done a deep dive into publicly available real data to contrast the policies between Republicans and Democrats via the Red State and Blue State governance.
Democratic policies vs. Republican
Houston activists Colby Wright and Ted Weisgal researched the data that many of us in political activism point out to those who we are addressing. What they did, however, is to put it into an all-encompassing document that is easy to read and pleasing to the eye. Above is the interview they did on Politics Done Right that is worth listening to with a cup of coffee.
The document they created is well worth the read and will equip activists with one place to get all the relevant data they need to have a civil conversation with those who are willing to attempt reality-based learning. It is a solid base to start from. But numbers are not enough. One must translate this message in real-time to a form that reaches those who we are trying to enlighten. We must understand what their angsts really are.
