The Amazon’s burning, Lungs of our planet
Glaciers all melting, Earth’s in a panic
Birds disappearing, Vanishing wings
These are a few of my least fav’rite things.
Tornado ‘n Hurricane, floods and wild fires
War raging in Ukraine, Congressional liars
Goons with big guns, they think they’re so tough
This is just some of my least fav’rite stuff.
Cars with big engines that burn fossil fuels
Pittance of prayers for kids murdered in schools
Corrupt politicians refusing to quit
This is just some of my least fav’rite shit.
When the gun kills, when the marsh fills
And I’m needing a nurse
I think of a few of my least fav’rite things
And then I feel so much worse.
Q Anon crazies who follow Fox News
Cops acting like thugs that batter and bruise
Pharmaceut Companies, really drug rings
These are a few of my least fav’rite things.
Chemicals toxic on lawns we keep spraying
Gun control needed, instead we are praying
Gov’nors of Red States acting like kings
These are a few of my least fav’rite things
A candidate loses, election denier
High corporate profits but prices much higher
Racism’s spreading just like Covid’s cough
These are the things that keep pissing me off.
When your book’s banned, But not Ayn Rand
Don’t know what’s not true
That’s when I think of my least fav’rite things
And then start to feel real blue.
Conspiracy lovers hate science and vaxxes
The Rich who make billions without paying taxes
The horrible news Daily Media brings
These are a few of my least fav’rite things.
Poor people suff’ring scraping by barely
The sick denied Healthcare, treated unfairly
A wretched one moans while the fortunate sings
These are a few of my least fav’rite things
Only the privileged can dance Indepen-dance
Of the right pigment, just chosen by chance
The rest watch from sidelines the well-born and blessed
These are a few of the things I detest.
When your stocks fall, when your car stalls
And you’re ready to cry
Then think of a few of these least fav’rite things
And it won’t be so hard to die.
Desperate migrants blocked at the border
Stiff-necked sheriffs keeping law ‘n order
Asylum denied to people of color
These are a few of the things I abhor.

Things that I think should go away now. Somehow.
