Tim Danahey gives PDR an on-the-ground report on the important races in Pennsylvania. It is clear there are real races in that state.
Tim Danahey on Pennsylvania races
Tim Danahey is an entrepreneur and a democracy activist. He is a former Board of Director member of Coffee Party USA. I cherish his opinion because he is always very pragmatic in assessing our politics.
Danahey is a resident of Pennsylvania and is well-versed in the senate and governor’s race in his state. He believes John Fetterman is in the lead and likely to stay there as he humanizes with his disability, the stroke that he had. Tim also Fetterman’s vulnerability was being fair on crime.
Tim agreed that Josh Shapiro would likely easily win the governorship. His opponent, Doug Mastriano, is such a poor candidate that he was not a serious candidate some Republicans could stomach.
In describing his hopes for the very derelict Republican Party, Tim had some suggesting reading. He recommended the book “Eight Days in May: The Final Collapse of the Third Reich,” which he thinks is apropos. He hopes that, like many after World War II snapped out of their indoctrinated state, Republicans under the Trump spell will.
