David Nevins, the cofounder of Bridge Alliance, is serious about bringing people together. His seeming impatience is but what motivates him for the success of the movement.
David Nevins on Bridge Alliance’s progress
I met once again with Bridge Alliance‘s chairman, David Nevins. David was optimistic that change could occur, but he opened with a prescient question.
“I have been through a lot of these meetings,” David said. “And they are very uplifting. Each time I leave, learning something about the movement. I learn things about myself. And they are powerful. People are motivated in the moment. But how do we keep this going? We are hoping to create a community of like-minded people to move the ball for our country. How do we do that? What will it take to keep people invested?”
David’s questions are correct. And that is the reason the organization, under the leadership of Debilyn Molineaux, is growing the participation of over a hundred organizations that remain engaged and in symbiosis.
David remains optimistic. It is clear that he is in the movement to bring America together for the long haul. It is clear he remembers his founding statement.
“No matter how well managed and how well funded anyone organization is, significant political reform will not happen without an alliance to further collaborative interactions. Together we can and will raise the collective impact of all.”
