Markos Moulitsas, DailyKos Founder, infers that based on data, Dems should win Midterm 2022.

Markos Moulitsas, Founder of DailyKos, was unequivocal in his interview with me and, subsequently, his keynote speech at Netroots Nation 2022. Midterm 2022 is there for Democrats to win if they follow the will of the voters.

Markos Moulitsas is right. It is there for the Dems to win.

I write all over, blog everywhere that’s meaningful, and do my radio shows and internet programs. But I consistently blog and engage at DailyKos because of what this guy, Markos Moulitsas, built alongside a real community. He and the community have always been real, even as sparks fly over substantive debates throughout people’s different diaries.

The interview I held with Markos on Radio Row at Netroots Nation 2022 is probative. He does not fear going against the grain, the mainstream media, and punditry. And boy, he did just that on steroids.

Markos is sure that if Democrats stop believing a poorly interpreted midterm dogma and realize that we are at different times, it would be better for their success. He said midterms are generally a referendum on the current president, and the incumbent’s party usually loses seats because the incumbent can never live up to his campaign promises’ expectations.

The difference today is that the former president has not left the stage. And worse, the realization of his policies, an unhinged Conservative Supreme Court, the Dobb’s decisions, and Clarence Thomas’ attack on contraception, bedroom privacy, and same-sex marriage create a changing paradigm. And that makes the midterm ripe for Democrats to win. Do you think suburban women want Republicans in their wombs or bedrooms?

Listen to the entire interview. As usual, Moulitsas never disappoints. Please watch the whole interview in the post. And don’t forget to check out Markos’ relatively new podcast, “Daily Kos’ The Brief.” And while you are at it, please consider visiting my podcast, “Politics Done Right.”
