Lizz Winstead called it several months ago. She knew that the United States Supreme Court would overturn Roe v. Wade, and ultimately, they did.
Lizz Winstead did not hold back.
I interviewed Lizz Winstead right before the 2020 elections. She understood then the importance of that election. Unfortunately, Trump had already instituted the damage to the Supreme Court. In that light, she founded Abortion Access Front (AAF).
Lizz was always concerned that SCOTUS would overturn Roe v. Wade even as many, including me, believed they would not go that far. In that light, the need for her organization, AAF, could not be more critical.
In our interview, Lizz never said, ‘I told you so,” instead, she is ready for action. She brings a lot of humor to all her interviews, but make no mistake; she is always substantive.
Ms. Winstead talks about her organization getting many volunteers after SCOTUS took away women’s rights to their bodies. But there is a need for more funding for organizations like hers. One would think that all the progressive money used to pay consultants and ad agencies would have organizations like hers flushed with cash to effectively help women and ensure that suitable candidates get into office.
Please listen to the entire interview. I am sure you will find it enlightening.
