On Sundays at Noon ET, I hang with a very vibrant group of writers, Writers, and Editors of Color (#WEOC). I listen to many writers who otherwise write above their visibility level. I really enjoy the discourse. I try to get some of their speakers on Politics Done Right to share an insight that is sometimes missing from our discussions.
After listening to Devon J Hall mesmerize the #WEOC Twitter Space with her assertiveness, advice, and empowering message, I asked her to appear on Politics Done Right. She did not disappoint.
So, who is Devon J Hall?
Devon J Hall is a 38-year-old writer from Surrey, British Columbia who spends most of her days focusing on her mental health, so that she can learn as a patient, how to help doctors and “professionals” better understand the intricacies of mental health treatment.
Loud Mouth Brown Girl is the creation of a woman who survived more than thirty years of sexual abuse and trauma hidden behind mental health issues that were hidden behind genuine brainwashing, actual physical, sexual, emotional, and spiritual torture, and the desire to free herself from an entire world of people who knew, and deliberately pretended it wasn’t happening.
