Markel Hutchins is the CEO of Movement Forward. “We’ve done the marching, we’ve done the protesting and now it’s time to do the heavy lifting of decreasing bias, increasing respect and trust, protecting the lives of young men and women, but protecting the lives of our law enforcement professionals as well.”
Law enforcement agencies and groups from 45 states are on a mission to change the way the community sees them. “National Faith & Blue” is set to facilitate more unified communities (connecting officers and residents.)
At the heart of this initiative is the reinforcement of connections between law enforcement professionals and the communities they serve through the reach of houses of worship. There is no resource that can match the depth of the faith community in facilitating a productive engagement with law enforcement, which is needed now more than ever.
