Activist Sofia Sepulveda did not disappoint. She is an activist of substance that is doing the work to make a real difference throughout the country.
Sofia Sepulveda speaks.
Sofia Sepulveda is a first-generation Mexican American Trans Latina healthcare organizer for the Texas Organizing Project. She was named San Antonio’s Progressive Wonder Women and one of the 25 influential women who definitely run San Antonio in a local newspaper in 2019. She also made the 2020 activist list at the current.
Sofia is a supporter of Medicare for All. She has spoken at panels to make sure that people in Texas continue the fight for healthcare, creating different avenues while we achieve our final goal through pushing to expand the Indigent Healthcare Program, Medicaid Expansion, and Medicare for All educational workshops.
Sofia was the co lead-organizer for the Medicare for All March in San Antonio and the Million Women’s March in Washington. She also co-founded Trans-Power San Antonio.
Sofia recounted her personal healthcare story, which was partly responsible for her Medicare for All activism. But she is so much deeper than that. Sofia had a life-changing political experience in Mexico that made it clear she had to make a difference.
