Mondale Robinson discusses why he founded Black Male Voter Project.
Mondale Robinson
Robinson did more than spell out the reason for the foundation of the organization Black Male Voter Project. More importantly, he dispels some fallacies about black men’s votes. He also points out why his organization is necessary for today’s politics.
Who is Mondale Robinson?
Born one of 13 in rural North Carolina, W. Mondale grew up with a front-row seat to obstacles that kept and keeps Black people from voting. With this knowledge and his veteran campaign experience, he created a voter engagement program that would increase Black people’s participation in the electoral process (BMEP Additory Approach©). The program was designed with a special focus on Black men, who are so often labeled as low information and sporadic voters. The program has been a success in the 13 states where it has been implemented (VA, NC, SC, GA, MS, FL, AL, TX, AR, OH, IN, NY, and NJ).
Mondale has been a lifelong advocate for the expansion of democracy and the protection of voting rights. He has worked on more than 125 campaigns–across all levels of government–in the United States, and leading roles internationally.
Mondale is a protagonist in the Clickbaity: Political ThirstTrap podcast. The podcast is described as “Black men with political opinions and voices to share them.” Check it out.
