John Theis has a different perspective on Student Loan Forgiveness
Progressives need to understand what Dr. John Theis is talking about as we ponder Student Load Forgiveness for specific reasons. Dr. Theis, someone with a progressive bent, explains why he believes it could be characterized as a wealth transfer from the poor and middle-class to the rich.
Dr. Theis gives an example of how student loans are used (or misused) by both the poor and the rich. In fact, while I am still convinced that student loan forgiveness under the old modal is important, the professor had given me pause.
We must make sure to minimize any policy to ensure that those who have no intention of going to college but want other options are not held hostage to the policies created for those desiring a college education.
As it stands. Progressives are not the best at messaging their ideas. We better heed the professor’s warnings and legislate accordingly.
