Former Congressman Alan Grayson had a lot to say about the attacks on Progressives. He has always been a brave Progressive.
Alan Grayson had a lot to say.
If in a more quiet tone, former Congressman Alan Grayson did not let up on either Democrats attacking Progressives or those who would vote for an inhumane fuhrer. He still has the drive that we all saw when he went on the House of Representatives’ floor and scorched the Republicans for their inhumanity. He said then that the Republican healthcare plan if you get sick, was to die quickly. He did it in a matter that shocked many.
Democrats, instead of picking up seats in Election 2020, lost a few. Some Democrats have been pointing at Progressives for the loss. Recently Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez pushed back. Grayson had more time to express his opinion, and he gave great insights.
Who is Alan Grayson.
Alan Grayson is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party who was the United States Representative for Florida’s 9th congressional district from 2013 to 2017 and Florida’s 8th congressional district from 2009 to 2011. He was defeated for re-election in 2010 by Republican Daniel Webster. He was elected in 2012 for a second, non-consecutive term in the House of Representatives, defeating Republican Todd Long.
In 2016, Grayson decided not to run for re-election to his House seat to run for the Senate from Florida in the 2016 election. He was defeated 59%–18% in the Democratic primary by fellow Representative Patrick Murphy, who lost the general election to incumbent Marco Rubio. In 2018, Grayson entered the race for the 9th district. He was defeated in the Democratic primary by his successor Darren Soto.
One hopes that Grayson will throw himself back into the ring sooner rather than later.
