Jose Williams and I go back a long time. We were both iReporters at CNN. Jose’s Obama-like appearance got him roles in some gigs overseas playing Obama in commercials.

It is always fun catching up. The last time we met following the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte was right here in Houston, Texas at a truck stop where I was introduced to his trucking enterprise. As usual, we got a chance to catch up on politics.

I got a call for Jose a day before the march on Washington.

“Hey E., we’ll connect tomorrow in DC,” said Jose. “I made sure to arrange my schedule to be there.”

I had to inform him that this year I was going to miss this big event. I continue getting Politics Done Right financially stable, so I would have to pass on this one.

“But hey Jose,” I said. “You can be the eyes and ears and collaborate like the old days at CNN iReport.

Jose was all in. But the connection sucked in DC. Well this interview with a second day account is just fine. Plus we get to talk some real politics on air.
