Old-style journalism has been taking a beating. Many yearn for the journalists of the past. They believe they would magically make things different than they are today. They would somehow not get snowed by the Right Wing. They would not have allowed the ACA or Birther circus. That is hogwash. The path to our destruction was paved during the reign of these great journalists. After all, it was well documented in the Powell Memo. Cronkite and the likes would have been a slave to corporations that control the networks just like the hosts of today.
