The Plutocracy and the Right have gamed the current form of journalism. As such, it is essential that journalists adopt a new paradigm. Many independents are, the mainstream media must.

The type of journalism taught in colleges and universities is no longer relevant where facts are fungible more so than in the past. Spinning is no longer creating a point of view around the same facts everyone agrees one. Today facts are constructed. As such, it is no longer viable to simply ask each of many sides for their point of view of any incident or policy. Journalists must also live within the story they are covering. Their job must not rely solely on reporting but identifying lies and misinformation objectively.
The journalism of the past is untenable. The Right and the Plutocracy are using that reality to pilfer their way through America as they decimate what once was a country on the path to becoming great.

The Tennessee lawmaker said there are a number of reticent Republicans who are afraid to push back at Trump because they do not want to agitate the president. “We are in a strange place. It’s almost, it’s becoming a cultish thing, isn’t it?” said Corker, who also sits on the Senate Budget Committee. “It’s not a good place for any party to end up with a cult-like situation as it relates to a president that happens to be of, purportedly, of the same party.” He added, “We have a lot of people who are willing to do the things that they feel are right for our country. We have some who are fearful of upsetting the president. But it’s not a good place for us to be.”
