Call: (713) 526-5738 – Facebook LIVE – Live stream: KPFT (Entire USA) Radio Show Date: June 14th, 2018

Journalism, as practiced today, is incapable of mitigating the misinformation of Trump and the Right Wing effectively. We need a new paradigm.

Donald Trump conned Americans one more time with a sham summit with Kim Jong Un. Nothing was accomplished other than the end of bidirectional-belligerent-talk that Trump started. Check out the post I wrote about it titled “The con man got conned and conned his constituents one more time.”

American journalism could not help themselves. They were a part of the con that Trump imposed on them. Instead of assigning the sham its due merit, they obliged. That is what we are going to talk about today on the blog of the week.

But before we go there I am honored to have a special guest in the studio today. Dr. Dalia Kasseb, a resident of the Shadow Creek Ranch in Pearland, is ready to bring a new generation’s voice to City Hall to advocate for all of Pearland. Dalia is running for Pearland City Council Position 4. The runoff is this Saturday. Polls open for 7 am to 7 pm. Building on her passion for helping others, Dalia graduated with her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2010. She went on to earn certifications in Medication Therapy Management, Immunization Administration, and Intravenous Drug Administration. Dalia and her husband soon moved from Houston to join their extended family in Pearland. Upon completing her residency at CHI Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, she began running the family pharmacy business, becoming an active member of the Pearland Chamber of Commerce. In addition to running her small businesses, Dalia enjoys giving back with the Kaseb Foundation; a project that raises funds to provide education, water and homes to those in need in the US and Africa.
