This week several things occurred that dictates that our entire health care system is revamped. To be more specific, it needs to be completely restructured. We must fight for the sanity of a single-payer, Medicare-for-all health care system.
This week, the immoral price increases of pharmaceutical drugs were again on full display. This time, it was not the crass CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals Martin Shkreli. It was Mylan CEO Heather Bresch who raised the price of the EpiPen fivefold. Of course,, there was also the story of AETNA withdrawing from several exchanges to spite the Obama administration, an extortive act. I could go on and on. Let us talk about that today and detail steps we must take.
