Turn on your TV. Listen to any traditional mainstream radio station or television station. Visit any of the most popular internet sites run by corporate America. You would believe the United States of America and the rest of the world are privy to the same talking points.
The traditional mainstream media is lazy, unimaginative, corporate controlled, for the most part worthless. Is that too strong critique? Absolutely not. My blog of the week will expand on this.
But before I get there, I want to remind you all that we are in fund drive. I won’t however bore you with just pitching for support. I want your support but I will tie your support into today’s reality of a failed media.
We will also be speaking to Michael Collier, the 2014 candidate for Texas Comptroller. Michael wrote an important op-ed about the misinformation emanating from Austin with regards to our taxes, tax cuts, and the real beneficiaries. Texans are fortunate to have someone, good finance guy in the know who is able to decipher the crap coming from Austin. While Collier was unsuccessful in his bid for Texas Controller, he continues to be a watchdog even if out of office for all of us Texans. And he provides a template that shows ordinary citizens need not be dependent on the traditional mainstream media to get the truthful spinless message out.
